This position will recommend best practices and solve technical challenges for keeping our data safe, secure and compliant. This role will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing evaluation of data privacy controls in our ecosystem, ensuring data availability, performance and scalability.
The ideal candidate has a comprehensive understanding of analytics, data science and data engineering tools, enterprise data management frameworks, concepts and best practices and the ability to share that knowledge and mentor a team of data architects and engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure our data products are compliant and secure, partnering with Privacy, Data Governance, Legal, Security & Audit to understand our business needs and how they translate to technical requirements
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between privacy laws and regulations and business imperatives, including developing practical solutions
- Participate in data engineering projects as the Data Privacy SME to ensure alignment with organizational standards and frameworks
- Assist with development, implementation and maintenance of privacy and data protection policies and standard operating procedures for HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA and other emerging domestic and global privacy laws
- Management of data protection goals and priorities
- Designs, presents, troubleshoots, and implements cloud and hybrid infrastructure compliance and/or data protection and privacy solutions
- Managing vendor audits and requalifying them on a scheduled plan
- 4+ years of experience evaluating and interpreting data privacy, compliance and/or legal rules and regulations and the translation of those rules into technical data warehouse controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong knowledge with privacy and data protection concepts
- Ability to analyze vendor risk assessment, and reviewing vendor security and infrastructure architecture is a must
- Experience working with cloud and modern data platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, etc., understanding of both cost and architecture
- Experience navigating a complex technical and organizational environment
- Knowledge of and experience in the Healthcare industry a plus
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with respect to documentation
- Excellent critical thinking and diagnostic aptitude
- High capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and ownership for task/project completion
$99,400 - $165,600
