Role Overview

BEPC is looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our client’s Fire and Life Safety Technical Publications team. This role is focused on creating and maintaining top-quality documentation for both software and hardware products. As part of a collaborative, global environment, you will work with cross-functional teams to deliver precise, customer-ready content that aligns with industry standards and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation aligned with organizational standards.
• Collaborate globally with product owners, engineers, developers, and marketing teams.
• Use modern writing techniques and tools to create clear, user-friendly content.
• Coordinate and review technical content with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain existing documentation and ensure it remains up to date with product changes.
• Ensure documentation supports both digital and physical product platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Technical Communication or a related field).
• 5–7 years of experience in a technical writing role.
• High fluency in English, both written and oral.
• Proven experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Technical Skills Required

• 3–5 years of experience in software technical writing.
• Experience using documentation tools such as:
• Experience with modern development processes, including SAFe Agile (preferred).
• Familiarity with XML-based documentation tools.
• Certification from the Society for Technical Communicators is a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Pay Rate: $43.00 – $45.00 per hour
• Must address the following on resume:
• Experience with Mad Cap Flare
• Experience with Adobe Frame Maker and In Design
• Years of experience in software technical writing
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
