Job Description: The Web Applications Contractor will deliver project-based web application solutions that support the City of Atlanta’s digital transformation initiatives. This role is focused on executing defined technology projects from concept through deployment, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. The Contractor will be responsible for end-to-end technical delivery of assigned initiatives involving web portals, digital systems, mobile applications, CMS platforms, cloud-based solutions, and data-driven applications.
ProjectScope & Core Deliverables Web Application Development & Modernization Projects
- Technical requirements analysis and solution design documentation
- Development of secure, scalable web applications using Angular, NodeJS, .NET/C#
- CMS implementation or enhancements
- Integration with backend databases and APIs
- Deployment to Azure cloud environments
- Production readiness documentation and transition support
- Azure architecture design (Web Apps, CosmosDB, SQL, Application Insights, Log Analytics)
- Database implementation (MSSQL, Oracle, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, MySQL)
- Performance optimization and scaling strategy
- Monitoring and logging configuration
- Disaster recovery and availability planning

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on web application development experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise web projects in cloud environments.
- Experience working within structured SDLC and Agile frameworks.
- Industry certifications (Azure, cloud, development) preferred.
