Project Operations Specialist (1416777)
Contract: 6+ months
Location: 6205 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328 (Must be within 50 miles of ATL). Onsite Tuesdays plus one other day of choice (total 2 days per week).
This role is a very high-level vendor‑specific Operations Specialist role focused on vendor programs within IT for enterprise organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the execution of vendor management processes, including onboarding, performance tracking, and compliance documentation to maximize value and minimize risk.
- Assist in coordinating small to mid‑size projects related to new vendor initiatives, contract renewals, and technology implementations.
- Maintain and update dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools to monitor vendor performance and project status.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Procurement, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure alignment on vendor‑related activities.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and follow up on action items.
- Help streamline operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure documentation is current, organized, and accessible in shared systems (e.g., O365, PowerBI, Zylo, SharePoint, Service Now, Oracle EBS).
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Technology Vendor Management Team.
- 5–10 years of experience in operations, project coordination, or vendor management (technology or IT environment preferred) or related experience.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365.
- Experience with Oracle EBS, Service Now, and Zylo PowerBI is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid team environment.
- Experience working with or supporting vendor management, procurement, or IT governance is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or project management methodologies.
- Experience in a large enterprise or matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle management or vendor risk assessment processes.
This position will report to the Senior Manager, Technology Vendor Management in the Office of the CIO.
