Job SummaryClient is looking for a Cybersecurity Sr. Engineer who will report to the Senior Manager, Security Engagement and Cloud Security Operations. This individual will enable key business initiatives by partnering with cross-functional project teams and providing guidance on security and privacy requirements. The Cybersecurity Sr. Engineer is involved with a solution from concept to completion, ensuring the architecture supports the goals of the business and aligns with security and privacy standards.
This individual will also assist with governance of security and privacy standards including identification of new security solutions.
- Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to integrate security and privacy requirements into projects.
- Review solution architectures and provide security guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate security and privacy risks.
- Support governance, compliance, and security standards initiatives.
- Influence security-focused product and vendor decisions.
- Drive security best practices across cloud, application, network, and identity domains.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in security architecture, operations, design, or development.
- Experience across multiple security domains including IAM, application security, network security, data protection, and risk management.
- Knowledge of incident, vulnerability, change, and configuration management.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with NIST, CIS, cloud security, container security, and Agile environments.
- Big 4 consulting, Fortune 500, or Telecom/Cable industry experience preferred.
