CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer / Platform Automation Architect position for our client.
Location:
Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities- Architect, design, and implement enterprise automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and execution environments
- Build scalable platform automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and lifecycle operations
- Enable governed self-service automation with strong controls, compliance, and change management integration
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve reliability, availability, and operational efficiency
- Define and support SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets through automation and observability integration
- Integrate automation workflows with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms to reduce MTTR and improve incident response
- Collaborate with infrastructure, Dev Ops, and application teams to standardize automation patterns across the enterprise
- Act as an Application Architect for open-source platforms, aligning automation solutions with enterprise architecture standards
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)
- Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and execution environments
- Platform engineering and enterprise automation architecture
- Infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, lifecycle automation
- SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
- Observability and monitoring integration
- Self-service automation frameworks with governance controls
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Background Check (BGC) required
- Extensive experience in Ansible automation, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation roles
- Proven ability to design enterprise-scale automation frameworks
- Experience applying SRE principles in production environments
- Strong background integrating automation with enterprise monitoring and Dev Ops tool chains
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
