The Sr Dev Ops Engineer owns core Dev Ops and CI/CD platforms across Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub, enabling reliable and automated application delivery in Azure‐hosted and on‐prem environments.
The role requires strong Dev Ops engineering fundamentals, proficiency with cloud platforms and Terraform for delivery enablement, and active participation in AI‐enabled Dev Ops practices, including Copilot‐assisted development and early agentic automation. The position also incorporates Fin Ops‐aware decision‐making to promote cost‐efficient operations.
This role focuses on core Dev Ops engineering, including CI/CD platforms, delivery automation, and developer enablement. The position collaborates closely with teams that specialize in cloud infrastructure, reliability, cost optimization, and release coordination, while remaining primarily responsible for Dev Ops platform ownership.
AI adoption is actively encouraged and supported at the enterprise level, and this role is expected to apply and extend AI‐assisted capabilities within Dev Ops workflows.
** What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
**** Core Dev Ops Platform Engineering (Primary Responsibility)
*** Own, design, and operate enterprise‐grade CI/CD platforms using Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub.
* Build, maintain, and evolve pipeline frameworks supporting cloud‐hosted and on‐prem workloads.
* Implement Git‐driven (Git Ops‐style) delivery workflows to standardize deployments, approvals, and release promotion.
* Standardize repository structures, pipeline templates, branching strategies, and delivery workflows across teams.
* Ensure reliability, traceability, and repeatability of application delivery at enterprise scale.
** Cloud & Infrastructure Enablement (Growth & Scale Focus)
*** Operate Dev Ops platforms across Microsoft Azure and on‐prem infrastructure.
* Integrate CI/CD workflows with Terraform‐based infrastructure in partnership with cloud teams.
* Align Dev Ops delivery processes with cloud and infrastructure standards.
* Support containerized and Kubernetes‐based platforms (AKS preferred) from a Dev Ops enablement perspective.
** AI Adoption & Agentic Dev Ops (Active Focus Area)
*** Actively apply AI‐assisted tooling, including Git Hub Copilot, to CI/CD pipelines, scripts, and Dev Ops automation.
* Identify opportunities to introduce AI‐driven efficiencies into build, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational workflows.
* Participate in the design and incremental implementation of agentic Dev Ops capabilities using AI services and MCP servers.
* Collaborate with peers and leadership to ensure AI usage aligns with enterprise standards, governance, and adoption goals.
** Security, Governance & Operational Excellence
*** Integrate security scanning, compliance checks, and policy enforcement into CI/CD pipelines (Dev Sec Ops ).
* Apply IAM, RBAC, and governance controls within Dev Ops workflows.
* Ensure observability across Dev Ops platforms using logging, monitoring, and metrics.
* Contribute to resilient, secure, and cost‐aware platform operations.
** Fin Ops & Cloud Cost Awareness
*** Apply Fin Ops‐aware practices within Dev Ops workflows to promote cost‐efficient cloud usage.
* Collaborate with finance and cloud stakeholders to support cost visibility and optimization initiatives.
* Integrate cost considerations into CI/CD pipelines, provisioning workflows, and automation where appropriate.
** What are the requirements needed for this position?
*** 4+ years of experience supporting Azure‐hosted and on‐prem environments.
* 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops or platform engineering, with a strong focus on CI/CD and delivery automation.
* 3+ years of programming automation in at least one of the following:
Power Shell, Python, Go, or Type Script.
