Responsibilities- Assist upstream planning and acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.
- Manage the delivery of large‑scale network infrastructure projects involving long‑haul dark fiber, metro fiber, leased capacity/circuits, and inside‑plant fiber from inception through delivery, ensuring facilities are delivered on schedule and meet technical specifications.
- Lead kickoff and regular project status meetings while keeping downstream teams aware of project and delivery status.
- Oversee vendor handover documentation (LOA/CFA, DLR Completion notification, test results and technical drawings) and coordinate record‑keeping and communication with vendors and Google staff.
- Lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish, planning requirements, identifying risks, managing schedules, and communicating with cross‑functional partners.
- Explain team analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in program management.
- Experience with infrastructure projects (e.g., across software, hardware, data center, or networking).
- Experience working on infrastructure engineering teams or in service performance/quality.
- Experience managing fiber and telecom vendors for on‑time delivery of fiber assets.
- Experience with fiber permitting, OSP fiber construction, splice, testing, and remediation.
- Experience creating processes and delivery improvements for fiber delivery activities.
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Experience working at a large‑scale technology company delivering high volume of network build projects.
US: $116,000 – $166,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
