Business Analyst SDLC Functional Requirements Analyst

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst (BA) to support IT project initiation efforts, technology procurements, and business systems analysis activities. The primary responsibilities include analyzing IT project initiation requests and compiling documentation necessary to support new IT procurements, contracts, or in-house system development initiatives.

• Participate in the demand management process to assist business units in developing business cases, defining project scope, and documenting requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear solution requirements and technical documentation.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
• Identify business process inefficiencies, operational pain points, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and document:
  • Business process workflows
  • Current and future state analyses
  • User stories and use cases
  • Functional and system requirements
  • System interaction diagrams
  • Data mappings and logical data models
  • Metadata documentation
  • Screen mockups and wireframes
  • Reporting and training requirements
  • Test cases and acceptance criteria
• Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and validate that business requirements have been successfully implemented.

• Support the development of Statements of Work (SOW), solicitation documents, procurement packages, and related artifacts.
• Primarily support IT acquisitions involving software, hardware, professional services, or technology solutions.
• Assist in gathering documentation and information from vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Legal, Security, and technical teams to support vendor evaluations and procurement activities.

• Participate in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities and transition requirements to development and project teams.
• Collaborate & support documented requirements with project managers, architects, developers, QA testers, and business teams throughout project execution under the guidance of the IT BA Manager.
• Assist project managers with stakeholder coordination.
• Communicate business requirements and priorities to technical implementation teams.
• Create diagrams, charts, specifications, and supporting artifacts to guide/support development and solution delivery.
