We are looking for an experienced Amperity IDR Setup Engineer to support the Identity Resolution setup phase for a large-scale customer identity transformation program. The role will focus on configuring, validating, and tuning deterministic identity rules within Amperity to strengthen the existing probabilistic identity graph and support unified customer profile creation.
The engineer will work closely with onsite solution architects, data foundation teams, consumer groups, data governance teams, and Amperity SMEs to translate business identity requirements into executable stitch rules, validation logic, and measurable scorecards.
Key Responsibilities- Configure deterministic stitch rules in Amperity for customer identity resolution.
- Define and implement rules for loyalty , customer , email, phone, account , transaction , credit/tender token, household, address, consent, and suppression attributes.
- Analyze source datasets and identify required semantic tags, normalization rules, primary keys, foreign keys, bad-value block lists, and match eligibility conditions.
- Support 3B approach setup by injecting deterministic anchors into the existing probabilistic graph.
- Support 3A fallback analysis by helping compare deterministic graph outputs against probabilistic identity outputs.
- Build and maintain the Rule Design Workbook with rule logic, source fields, thresholds, priority, conflict handling, and validation criteria.
- Execute sandbox runs, review Stitch outputs, analyze Unified Scores, Stitch Reports, cluster movement, duplicate/split behavior, and false-merge indicators.
- Support calibration cycles by tuning rules, thresholds, blocking keys, and exception guardrails.
- Create validation datasets and support use‑case certification across high‑priority consumer groups.
- Partner with BI/reporting teams to expose metrics such as deterministic influence, overwrite count, reach delta, mis‑tagged accounts, false merge risk, and false split risk.
- Document lineage, rule versioning, test evidence, known issues, and remediation actions.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Amperity
, especially Sources, Stitch, Customer 360, Queries, Segments, and Destinations. - Deep understanding of deterministic and probabilistic identity resolution.
- Strong SQL skills for profiling, validation, exception analysis, and scorecard data preparation.
- Experience with customer data platforms, retail/customer identity, loyalty, CRM, POS, ecommerce, campaign, consent, and transaction data.
- Ability to analyze identity conflicts, over‑merging, under‑merging, duplicate profiles, and cluster volatility.
- Familiarity with Big Query, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar analytical platforms.
- Deterministic rules configured and validated in sandbox.
- Rule workbook completed and approved.
- IDR outputs certified against business use cases.
- Identity quality metrics available for governance review.
- Production‑ready rules promoted with traceability and rollback readiness.
