You’ll shape our go-to-market strategy, build and deepen our partner ecosystem, and turn market intelligence into revenue-generating growth initiatives — all in service of Tableau’s mission to help people see and understand their data.
What You’ll Do- Define and lead Tableau’s market strategy across key verticals, customer segments, and geographies in alignment with Salesforce’s broader platform vision
- Build and scale the Tableau partner ecosystem — including ISVs, SIs, OEM partners, cloud marketplace alliances (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Salesforce App Exchange partners
- Identify whitespace opportunities in the analytics and BI market by monitoring competitive dynamics (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Qlik) and emerging trends (AI‑driven analytics, data literacy)
- Drive co‑sell, co‑marketing, and embedded analytics motions with Salesforce and key technology partners
- Represent Tableau externally as a thought leader at industry events (e.g., Tableau Conference, Dream force, Gartner Data & Analytics Summit) and with analysts (Gartner, Forrester)
- Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Salesforce Platform teams to build pipeline and accelerate customer adoption
- Establish and track KPIs for ecosystem health, partner‑sourced revenue, and market penetration
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of strategy and ecosystem managers
- Present strategy and results to C‑suite and Salesforce executive stakeholders
- 12+ years of experience in market strategy, partnerships, business development, or ecosystem management in enterprise software or data/analytics
- Deep knowledge of the business intelligence, analytics, or data management landscape
- Proven ability to build and activate partner ecosystems that drive measurable revenue impact
- Experience working within or alongside a large platform company (Salesforce experience a plus)
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization
- Data‑driven mindset with experience using market research and competitive intelligence to shape strategy
- Passion for data, analytics, and the power of visual storytelling
- MBA or equivalent preferred
