We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Field Engineer to join our growing team. The AV Field Engineer will be responsible for the on-site installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio-visual systems in commercial, educational, and/or government environments. This role requires a strong understanding of AV technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and commission AV systems including projectors, displays, audio processors, video conferencing equipment, and control systems
• Perform on-site testing and troubleshooting of AV equipment and infrastructure.
• Interpret AV system drawings, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, system designers, and clients to ensure successful system deployment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users and internal teams.
• Document installation and configuration details for project close-out packages.
• Conduct site surveys and pre-installation assessments as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working order.
• Ensure installations comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of AV systems.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Control 4, QSC).
• Strong knowledge of signal flow, AV networking, and cable termination (HDMI, Cat6, fiber, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and architectural drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively under pressure.
• Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship.
• Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts.
