Senior Data Analyst

Our client is a private equity-backed, rapidly growing multi-location services platform operating across the Northeast. Through a combination of organic growth, acquisitions, and operational excellence, the company has established itself as a market leader in a highly fragmented industry.

As the organization continues to scale, leadership is investing heavily in data, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities to drive smarter decision‑making and create a more data‑driven culture. This newly created role represents an opportunity to build foundational analytics capabilities and have a meaningful impact on how the business measures performance, allocates resources, and executes its growth strategy.

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, the Data Analyst will serve as the primary analytics resource for the organization. This is a highly visible individual‑contributor role that combines technical data expertise with business partnership and problem‑solving.

The successful candidate will work directly with leaders across Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and other functions to develop a common understanding of key business metrics, establish data governance standards, and build reporting that drives action.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the details of source systems, writing SQL, troubleshooting data issues, and transforming fragmented information into meaningful business insights. Rather than inheriting a mature analytics environment, this individual will help build the foundation.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise data dictionary, ensuring consistent definitions and governance of key business metrics.
• Partner with business leaders to establish KPI frameworks that accurately reflect operational performance and strategic objectives.
• Standardize reporting methodologies and metrics across departments to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Improve data quality, accessibility, and integrity across multiple systems and platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Deliver executive‑level reporting and analysis focused on recurring revenue, customer retention, operational performance, growth initiatives, and other critical business metrics.
• Translate complex business questions into actionable analyses and data‑driven recommendations.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives through data analysis.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries within Snowflake to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Extract, cleanse, transform, validate, and reconcile data from multiple source systems.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines, integrations, and reporting processes.
• Support data integration and standardization efforts associated with acquisitions and organizational growth.

• Act as a strategic partner to leaders across Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and other business functions.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Educate stakeholders on KPI definitions, reporting methodologies, and data interpretation best practices.
• Champion a data‑driven culture by increasing organizational understanding and adoption of analytics.

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or a related discipline.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud‑based data warehouse technologies.
• Proven experience building dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions using Power BI.
