Overview
We are seeking a hands-on IT Director to lead and support a growing organization’s technology environment. This role functions at a strategic level (similar to a CTO/CIO) while remaining highly tactical and involved in day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the full IT environment, including infrastructure, systems, and integrations
- Lead and support a team of 4–5 IT professionals while remaining hands-on when needed
- Develop and execute IT roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Partner with business leaders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Identify gaps between business goals and system capabilities and proactively recommend solutions
- Ensure systems (ERP, CRM, phone systems, etc.) are optimized and functioning effectively
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues (networking, hardware, connectivity) as needed
- Support and maintain compliance (HIPAA environment preferred)
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s in Information Systems or related field
- 10+ years of IT experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong background across infrastructure, systems, and application environments
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (highly important)
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically ("roll up sleeves" mindset)
- Strong communication skills—ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Experience in smaller or mid-sized company environments preferred
- Healthcare industry strongly preferred
- Base salary: ~165K-185K
- Bonus: 10-15% total
- Up to ~200K total
