MRD Vehicle Protection Suite (VPS) Manager
Position located at Fort Benning, GA, supporting the Maneuver Requirements Division of the Maneuver Future Capability Directorate under the U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Command.

This position is contingent on S³ being awarded a follow-on contract supporting the MCoE MFCD.
Job Responsibilities- Familiarity with and ability to perform capability gap and DOTMLPF‑P analysis to inform requirements.
- Develop, write, assemble, and staff capability requirements documents, Concepts of Employment (CONEMP), and Basis of Issue Guidance.
- Perform Capabilities Based Assessment (CBA) and Materiel Solutions Analysis (MSA), conduct product research; develop Critical Operational Issues and Criteria (COIC), and Detailed and Operational Plans (D&OP) for operational test.
- Practical experience in the operation, employment, and sustainment of combat vehicles and knowledge of reactive, passive, and active protection systems employed on vehicles such as:
- M1 Abrams Tank
- M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle
- Stryker family of vehicles
- Advanced Multi-Purpose (AMP)
- Knowledge of ammunition and protection sensors employed across the various platforms (e.g., Laser Warning Receivers, Radar Warning, and Hostile Fire Detection).
- Supports preparation of decision packages flowing through Requirements Integration Board (RIB), Decision Information/Guidance (DIG), Commanding General Review Board (CGRB), and Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC) forums.
- Coordinates Decision Assessment Prioritization (DAP) scoring entries and maintains awareness of emerging materiel solutions through the Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR) and the Program Objective Memorandum (POM).
- Requires a working knowledge of the U.S. Army, its organizational structures with emphasis on Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) and their functions, and a basic understanding of Army doctrine and operational concepts.
- Reports to the Task Order Team Lead.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or eight (8) years of Army maneuver experience in lieu of a degree.
- Graduate of the following Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses, or ability to complete within 10 days of hire:
- RQM 1010, Introduction to JCIDS (formerly CLR 101).
- ACQ 1010, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (formerly ACQ 101).
- RQM 1101, Core Concepts for Requirements Management (formerly RQM 110 / RQM 1100).
- TST 102, Fundamentals of Test and Evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other operational software.
- An Active Secret DOW security clearance.
- Graduate of the Army Capabilities Development Course (CDC) taught by Army Logistics University.
- Graduate of the Abrams, Bradley, or Stryker Master Gunner Course.
- Prior service on a Battalion, Brigade, or higher-level staff with direct experience in combat vehicles and mounted weapon systems.
