Job Description

• Install a new People Soft instance including building the database.
• Install People Soft application software and third‑party tools; build web server, application server, and process scheduler instances for all People Soft applications.
• Use People Soft Upgrade Manager (PUM) to apply selective application updates.
• Use Change Assistant to install updates and fixes.
• Use Change Assistant to perform tools upgrade.
• Use Change Assistant to apply tax updates.
• Monitor applications to optimize performance and resource use.
• Monitor and maintain security in cooperation with People Soft security administrators.
• Provide advice to application programmers on troubleshooting, exception processing needs, and other data management issues.
• Work on complex tasks, projects, or support issues that involve a high level of risk, impact the performance of SAO People Soft applications, or require a high level of knowledge in one or more specialty areas.
• Work with DBAs to complete migrations that require DBA work.
• Work with technical developers and set up Integration Broker to communicate and exchange data between People Soft and non‑People Soft applications.
• Use Web Logic console for monitoring and troubleshooting web server issues.
• Use Tuxedo command line interface for application server/process scheduler troubleshooting.
• Operate on a scheduled 24x7 on‑call basis as and when needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience administering People Soft applications in a multi‑platform environment.

• Experience upgrading People Soft Financials applications from 9.1 to 9.2.
• Experience using PUM to apply bugs.
• Experience with People Tools 8.53 and above.
• Experience as a People Soft Upgrader, including refreshing People Soft applications on Oracle database and tuning People Soft applications in an Oracle database environment.
• Excellent oral and written communications.

• 6 to 8 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 2 years of experience in the Public Sector environment.
• Deployment of People Soft image using DPKs.
• Experience maintaining People Soft applications in Oracle 12c database.
• Exposure to BI Publisher.
• Exposure to Fluid Technology.
• Experience in search technologies, especially Elastic Search.

• Experience with Time & Labor module and KABA’s BCOMM for People Soft application and its integration with People Soft HCM.
• Integration with Taleo, Web Center, and other Cloud solutions.
• Exposure to running People Soft applications on engineered systems.
• Technical writing skills.
