Service Now Administrator
Location:
Atlanta, GA – Onsite
- Assists in developing standard IT configuration and asset management methodology.
- Develop CMDB policy, processes, and knowledge base.
- Conduct reporting on configuration audits and reconciliation.
- Maintains CIs to ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness.
- Drives visibility on process adherence and compliance improvement opportunities.
- Works with other ITSM processes to understand new requirements and identify how Configuration management can support or replace.
- Support and administer the tool for configuration and asset management, Service Now Discovery, and additional applications or modules as assigned.
- Conduct discovery workshops to uncover and consolidate disparate data sources while managing the expected business outcomes, use cases, the Service Now Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and platform governance.
- Create and document requirements for efficient process design that includes self-service options with limited manual effort.
- Manage the operational integration and centralization of IT Asset Management processes, such as requests and procurement, reports and dashboards, data accuracy/integrity, and extending the scope of Asset Management.
- Proficiency in Service Now scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide, Jelly), integrations (REST, SOAP), and web technologies (HTML, CSS).
- Experience with CSM module and implementation.
- Demonstrate experience in implementing and managing Service Now CMDB, CSDM, Hardware and Software Asset Management processes, procedures, and governance.
- Draft technical process documentation.
5+ years of recent Service Now experience with diverse hands-on work experience administering in core platform support and development activities.
In-Depth Knowledge of Technical Implementation of various Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HRSD etc.).
Certification in Service Now system administration; ITIL Foundation certified.
Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
Education and CertificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field OR an Associate degree in computer science or related field with relevant work experience.
ITIL Foundation & Service Now Administration Certification.
Required/Desired Skills- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field OR an Associate degree in computer science or related field with relevant work experience

- ITIL Foundation certified
