Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our Customers Marketing Technology organization is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the last-mile delivery of marketing communications - connecting customer data platforms, content systems, and audience tools to the activation channels that reach our Customers end customers s is a traditional Senior product management role, but with a heavy technical lean. The primary mission is to ensure that data flowing through our customers marketing technology stack can be translated, connected, and delivered to end activation channels - email, paid social, SMS, display, and beyond - reliably, accurately, and hiring manager was explicit: she needs someone who understands the customer journey in detail, can read technical documentation for APIs, file transfers, FTPs, and batch jobs, and can work alongside engineers to automate manual processes through technology.
This is not a Salesforce CRM role - it's a cross-domain, cross-channel martech activation role that requires both strategic product thinking and deep technical fluency.
How You'll Spend Your Time
Product Strategy & Customer Journey Definition:
You'll work closely with the product principal to define the end-to-end customer journey related to content and activation - understanding how creative assets are stored, how they flow through different systems, and what's required at each handoff point to ensure successful delivery to end activation channels. You'll define the product vision for this space, identify the next areas of opportunity within the martech stack, and build the roadmap that gets our customers marketing technology systems talking to each other automatically and at scale.
Cross-System Integration & Technical Requirements Development:
A significant portion of your time will be spent understanding the technical requirements of connecting systems - what data needs to be provided to a technology partner, what format it needs to be in, what the API contract looks like, and what needs to happen for a communication to get out the door successfully.
You'll work with engineering partners to define these requirements, write user stories, and ensure that integrations are built correctly the first time. You need to be able to read technical documentation independently and have credible technical conversations with engineers without needing everything translated for you.
Engineering Partnership & Agile Delivery:
You'll run product ceremonies with engineering partners - sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and retrospectives. You'll manage the product backlog, define OKRs tied to strategic initiatives, and ensure that engineering delivery is aligned with the product roadmap and business priorities. The hiring manager is looking for someone who can own this end to end without significant coaching on product fundamentals.
Business Partner Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
You'll work with business teams including the customer to understand their product stack, their requirements, and how the activation technology needs to evolve to support their needs. You'll define the product strategy for this space in partnership with business stakeholders and communicate roadmap status, risks, and opportunities clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Martech Stack Expansion & Automation:
You'll identify and define the next areas of opportunity within The Home Depot's martech stack - specifically focused on automating manual processes, getting systems to talk to each other, and enabling personalized communications to end customers at scale and speed. The next major initiative on the team's horizon is connecting the customer data platform (Growth Loop) to identity activation partners like Live Ramp - experience in this space is a meaningful differentiator.
