OverviewThe Georgia Dept. of Early Care & Learning (DECAL) seeks a Data Engineer to modernize its data infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric and Azure. The role focuses on building scalable ETL pipelines, supporting data migrations, and enabling advanced analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks)
- Implement medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
- Develop data models for Power BI dashboards
- Ensure data governance and security (Purview/Unity Catalog)
- Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, One Lake)
- 5+ years in data engineering
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark
- Experience in Power BI, data modeling, and governance tools
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Engineer certification
- CI/CD automation with Azure Dev Ops
- Experience in government or regulated environments
