Security Operations – Managed Security Monitoring
Avanade’s Security Practice supports clients in protecting, detecting, and responding to cyber threats using Microsoft’s security ecosystem. This role sits within Security Operations and focuses on delivering managed and co‑managed security monitoring, detection engineering, incident response, and continuous improvement using Microsoft Sentinel as the primary SIEM and SOAR platform. The role operates in a client‑facing, delivery‑focused environment and collaborates closely with client security teams, Avanade delivery teams, and Microsoft partners.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience & certifications
- 7+ years cybersecurity experience with hands‑on delivery and leading work streams & delivery teams
- 2+ years consulting experience
- Microsoft Security Certifications
- Experience delivering security solutions across one or more domains:
Cyber Defense / SOC / XDR, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection & Compliance, Cloud & Infrastructure Security - Proven ability to lead delivery teams, manage client expectations, and contribute to pre‑sales
- Develop new business with clients across Energy, Utilities, Infrastructures & Services, Technology companies, telecommunications, media, entertainment, digital platforms and connectivity‑led organizations.
- Identify transformation opportunities in areas such as network modernization, customer experience, digital channels, content platforms, data monetization, cloud, AI and intelligent operations.
- Create and grow a strong pipeline by prospecting, qualifying opportunities and building long‑term relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Partner with Microsoft and other strategic alliances to bring relevant, industry‑focused solutions to market.
- Build, qualify and manage a strong pipeline for growth, including proposals, statements of work, commercial negotiations and contracts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C‑level and senior client stakeholders, creating referrals and opening new opportunities for growth.
- Stay close to market trends, customer expectations, regulatory pressures and technology priorities shaping the sector.
- Be focused on the Products market, engaging enterprise clients across Retail, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, and Professional Services; drive industry‑specific discussions with customers’ C‑suite in both business and industry.
- Identify high‑potential transformation deals, leading and running many of the entire sales cycles.
- Drive new and incremental revenue by prospecting, acquiring, and developing new and fast‑growing business with direct clients in your area of expertise.
- Work closely with partners driving new business.
- Build a pipeline for growth and closing business, including statements of work and contracts.
- Interact with Avanade’s new and current clients, gain referrals from them, and form strong trust relationships that open doors and close deals.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions, competing offerings, and current penetration of services and solutions.
