Senior Population Health Data Analyst

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is a global professional services firm that partners with clients to deliver business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client solutions.

The Planning & Analytics for Total Health (PATH) team combines real‑time data insights with clinical expertise to drive informed decision‑making in healthcare. We transform employee benefits data into actionable, prescriptive strategies that enhance plan performance, control costs, and promote healthier work forces.

A day in the life.

As a Senior Population Health Data Analyst you will work closely with RN Clinical Consultants and Account Executives to analyze employee benefits data, support data‑driven recommendations, and assist in proactive renewal and risk mitigation strategies. Your day may include:

  • Participating in client meetings to introduce analytic frameworks, gather information, and provide consulting.
  • Collaborating with implementation, account management, clinical, and health teams to align expectations, prioritize tasks, build reports, and deliver insights.
  • Serving as a healthcare data analytics subject matter expert by creating standard and ad hoc reports that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Leading training on data warehouse use, performing monthly data quality assurance, and developing case studies and cohort analyses for internal and external presentations.
Our future colleague.

We look for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in employee benefits or healthcare with consultants, brokers, health plans, systems, or providers.
  • Proficiency in reporting and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and a strong understanding of key performance metrics across medical, pharmacy, wellness, and other benefits data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience working in data warehouse environments such as Artemis Health, Cotiviti, SCIO, Springbuk, or carrier/TPA platforms.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Additional qualifications that are a plus, but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience; preferred fields include health sciences, information technology, statistics or other related area. Master’s degree preferred.
Valuable benefits.

We offer a comprehensive benefits program that supports well‑being, development, and meaningful work, including:

  • Generous paid time off, including personal and volunteer time.
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment.
  • Charitable contribution match programs.
