JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, stability, and security of the organization’s IT environment. This includes managing servers, cloud platforms, identity systems, and core infrastructure that supports global operations. This role ensures systems are reliable, secure, and scalable to meet current and future needs.

Key responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Engineer include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure (physical and virtual environments)
  • Administer cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or similar) and hybrid environments
  • Oversee identity and access management (Active Directory, Entra , SSO, MFA)
  • Ensure system security, patching, and vulnerability management across all environments
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity; proactively address risks
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability
  • Support network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity across locations
  • Lead infrastructure-related projects (migrations, upgrades, implementations)
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners for infrastructure and security services
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and system architecture diagrams
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues from Help Desk
  • Strategic thinking with strong technical depth
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation
  • Ownership and accountability for systems stability
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a broader team
  • Clear documentation and communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–8 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering
  • Strong experience with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (Power Shell, Bash, or similar) preferred
