Database Admin Advisor

Job Summary

Database Admin Advisor – responsible for developing and implementing database administration standards, policies, methods and procedures while collaborating with senior Business and IT partners.

Location:

Pulse Point, 740 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. Hybrid model: in‑office 1–2 days per week; remote otherwise. Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

• Lead highly complex database administration projects across production and non‑production environments.
• Oversee physical database creation, maintenance and performance tuning.
• Build and support required database test environments.
• Accurately estimate effort for any size project covering database needs.
• Identify and define standard procedures and processes to ensure compatibility with the organization's vision and direction.
• Translate and prioritize complex database architectural requirements with Business and IT partners.
• Provide guidance to subordinates on best architectural practices to maximize performance.
• Troubleshoot the most difficult database problems as an expert and go‑to resource.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of experience in information systems or database administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake database administration, Snowsight, Snowflake SQL, Snowflake architecture.
• Experience using Python, SPL, SAML SSO, and OAuth tools in a database context.
