Expert Functional Consultant - Loan IQ
Reporting to the Implementation Director, the Expert Functional Consultant Loan IQ is responsible for data analysis and mapping, system configuration, implementation, consultative training, and implementation support for new and existing clients. The role is client‑facing and may require travel to client sites.
Responsibilities & Deliverables- Interact with clients consultatively to determine project requirements and conduct needs analysis.
- Assist clients in configuring system parameters and controls based on business practices; recommend best practices and obtain client acceptance.
- Conduct data analysis and mapping for assigned applications, mapping source data files to target applications for technical resources.
- Provide on‑site or remote support during client conversions.
- Test, troubleshoot and validate system configuration and functionality, including new system input, output and connectivity.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues in coordination with technical resources.
- Facilitate database validation work sessions with clients.
- Assess and report project risks; develop and implement mitigation plans.
- Communicate project scope, status and risks to stakeholders.
- Track and record time spent on all project‑related activities.
- Follow established project, departmental, company procedures and quality standards.
- Manage implementation projects to close on time, transition clients appropriately and complete post‑implementation tasks.
- Update internal documentation and provide subject‑matter expertise to internal staff, including sales, development, support, training, and professional services.
- Contribute to the development of implementation or training content and conduct training for clients and internal staff.
- Maintain and broaden knowledge of software applications and industry practices.
- Proven experience in leading complex initiatives and delivering business outcomes, preferably within a financial institution or enterprise software company.
- Strong functional experience with Finastra Loan IQ required.
- Client‑facing service experience required.
- Software implementation, support or training experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with project management disciplines preferred.
Applicants must be located in the posted location or immediate surrounding areas. This position is not available for candidates residing in New York City or California.
