Network Engineer, Systems Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of network engineers while remaining hands‑on with the design, implementation, and support of our global enterprise network infrastructure. This is a true player‑coach role for a technical leader who thrives in complex data center environments and enjoys balancing people leadership with deep technical execution.
In this role, you will drive network strategy, operational excellence, and platform evolution across enterprise, data center, and edge networking environments.
What You'll Do Technical Leadership & Hands‑On Engineering- Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation point for complex network issues.
- Remain actively involved in the design, review, implementation, and validation of enterprise network solutions.
- Participate in architecture reviews, configuration assessments, and major production changes.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution efforts for high‑impact network incidents.
- Drive engineering best practices, standards, and operational excellence across the organization.
- Design, implement, and support Cisco ACI spine‑leaf data center environments.
- Manage APIC policies, tenants, EPGs, lifecycle upgrades, and ongoing optimization efforts.
- Support NX‑OS‑based networking environments across data center and campus infrastructures.
- Own enterprise routing architecture with expertise in BGP and OSPF.
- Lead the design and implementation of Data Center Interconnect (DCI) and edge connectivity solutions.
- Ensure network resiliency, scalability, performance, and security across critical infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor a globally distributed team of approximately 7 network engineers across multiple regions and time zones.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and career development support.
- Balance project delivery, operational stability, and long‑term platform modernization initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- 8+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience in enterprise or data center environments.
- 2+ years of people management experience, preferably leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Deep expertise in BGP and OSPF routing, data center, edge, and DCI architectures.
- Proven ability to balance technical execution with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable working directly with command‑line interfaces and reviewing production configurations.
- Experience supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical network environments.
- Previous experience as a technical lead, senior escalation engineer, or network architect.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud and cloud connectivity architectures.
- Experience with network automation, observability, telemetry, and resiliency initiatives.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent practical experience.
You are a hands‑on networking expert who enjoys leading from the front. You have a passion for coaching engineers, solving complex technical challenges, and building highly available, scalable network infrastructures. You excel in fast‑paced environments where strategic thinking and technical depth are equally important.
