The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our AWS Strategic Industries, Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Delivery team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will manage a team of Pro Serve HCLS Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects. Leveraging your IT and/or Management Consulting background in HCLS, you will serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners and internal AWS teams.
As an Sr. HCLS DPM you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants and/or Engagement Managers, collaborating with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative HCLS solutions. You will routinely engage with directors, C‑level executives and governing boards, capture opportunities, and drive engagement delivery. Working closely with partner teams, you will drive business development initiatives, provide portfolio guidance and oversight, and consistently exceed customer satisfaction targets.
Your success will be measured by delivering engagements on time, within budget and exceeding customer expectations, while managing practice P&L and optimizing team performance.
- Build and manage a high‑performing team of Delivery Consultants and Engagement Managers
- Collaborate with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Customer Accounts, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions and provide insight on new features
- Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative, forward‑looking IT strategies for customers
- Manage practice P&L, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery of customer engagements
- Drive business development initiatives and exceed customer satisfaction targets
- 8+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting experience, or 3+ years of people‑leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
- Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑a‑service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges
- 3+ years experience in the healthcare and/or life sciences industry
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on‑premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
- Experience with international sales and delivery work with global Fortune 500 enterprise customers and partners
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud technology
- Experience building and maintaining C‑level client relationships
- Experience with communication, presentation and negotiation
- Experience with enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture
