Job Description

The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) of the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking technical personnel to be part of an established software team in the Flight Test Operations Branch (FTOB) of the Air National Guard Programs Division (ANGPD) division. Our software team employs a modern software engineering process to design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis resulting in a mature and quality solution for our customers.

Required

Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to perform in a collaborative environment with a cross functional team
  • Strong math skills
  • Experience with one or more of the following:

    • Python, C++, Java

    • Containerization:
    Docker, Kubernetes

    • Linux networking, TCP/IP, VLAN, 5G/LTE, IOT (MQTT/Modbus)
Hours per Week

10–20 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
