- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs.
- Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases.
- Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules needed to answer complex business questions.
- Extract, validate, transform, and analyze operational data for reporting, research, grants, and executive requests.
- Develop and maintain automated SQL processes, scheduled database jobs, and recurring data refreshes.
- Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues.
- Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code.
- Support recurring operational reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), legislative reporting, and research initiatives.
- Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings.
- Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed.
Skills:
- Oracle SQL development against transactional databases. Required 5 Years
- Writing complex SQL (joins, CTEs, subqueries, CASE, aggregate and analytic functions) Required 5 Years
- Normalized relational database design and table relationships Required 5 Years
- Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, views) Highly desired 3 Years
- SQL job scheduling and automated database processes Required 3 Years
- SQL troubleshooting, query optimization, and data validation. Highly desired 5 Years
- Translating business requirements into SQL solutions Required 3 Years
- Operational reporting and data analysis Required 3 Years
- Tableau or other data visualization software Highly desired
- Criminal justice or other large transactional database environments. Highly desired
