Southern Company Services is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer with 5+ years of Dev Ops experience to design, implement, and support enterprise CI/CD automation, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, and cloud platforms. This role will lead automation initiatives, optimize software delivery pipelines, and collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub platforms.
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Develop automation using Power Shell, Azure Dev Ops, and Git Hub workflows.
- Manage repositories, branching strategies, permissions, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, integrations, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement Dev Ops best practices.
- Support cloud platforms, automation frameworks, and container technologies.
- Create technical documentation and improve deployment processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and promote continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of Dev Ops, CI/CD, or Infrastructure Automation experience.
- Strong experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, Power Shell, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure Cloud.
- Experience with Git source control, automation, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and Open Shift.
- Knowledge of ARM Templates, Bicep, Azure Resource Groups, Key Vaults, and secure networking.
- Experience with Dev Ops architecture, enterprise automation, and release management.
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Coach) are a plus.
