Senior Technical Business Analyst - Investment Technology

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Senior Technical Business Analyst - Investment Technology for a Direct Hire opportunity with one of our premier investment management clients in Atlanta, GA . This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence four days per week .

The Senior Technical Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between investment business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while supporting investment data, trading platforms, cloud-based integrations, and modern data engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities :

• Partner with portfolio managers, traders, investment operations, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and development-ready requirements.
• Analyze investment data and identify trends, patterns, and reporting requirements.
• Develop and deliver curated datasets that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Support the delivery of real-time market and investment data into trading and execution management platforms.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
• Assist in the design, development, and enhancement of cloud-based data integration solutions and data pipelines.
• Perform data analysis and validation using Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Develop reporting and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Utilize Python for data analysis, automation, and integration activities.
• Support AWS-based applications and cloud integration platforms.
• Participate in planning, design, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Recommend process improvements that increase automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and business requirements to development teams.

Required Skills :

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Business Solutions Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Software Developer.
• Strong hands-on SQL experience using Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Experience working with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience gathering business and technical requirements within Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies.
• Investment management, asset management, capital markets, or securities industry experience.
• Experience supporting trading systems, portfolio management systems, execution management systems, or order management platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology organizations.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience supporting Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) platforms.
• Knowledge of Charles River Development (CRD), Eze Castle, Perform, or similar investment platforms.
• Experience with market data integration and real-time data processing.
• Data engineering or cloud architecture experience.
• Understanding of finance and accounting business processes.
• Experience building or supporting enterprise data pipelines.
• Exposure to automated testing and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
