About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing organization and help support the continued expansion of its enterprise data platform. This role will focus on building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines that deliver reliable, high-quality data for reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving data challenges, improving data flow processes, and ensuring the integrity of information moving across multiple systems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the data architecture and the business users who rely on it.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Write and optimize SQL queries for transformation, validation, and analysis
- Build and maintain transformation layers that support scalable and reusable data models
- Create and manage source definitions, dependencies, testing frameworks, and documentation for data assets
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot ingestion, performance, and quality issues
- Investigate root causes of data discrepancies, schema changes, and integration failures
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support the onboarding and integration of new source systems into the enterprise data platform
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, performance, and scalability
- Contribute to standards, best practices, and documentation across the data environment
- Strong SQL development skills with experience writing complex queries and transformations
- Hands‑on experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience working with modern data transformation frameworks, including:
- Source management
- Layered data modeling approaches
- Dependency management and lineage tracking
- Documentation and metadata management
- Automated testing and data quality validation
- Experience with cloud‑based data warehouse technologies
- Strong understanding of data ingestion, integration, and transformation processes
- Experience identifying and resolving data pipeline failures and performance issues
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Experience validating and quality‑checking large datasets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with reporting and analytics environments
- Experience supporting operational or financial data platforms
- Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
- Experience integrating data from multiple internal and third‑party systems
- Knowledge of cloud‑based data engineering best practices
- Experience working in rapidly growing or evolving organizations
- Exposure to data governance, auditing, or compliance‑focused initiatives
