Job Summary
IT Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions that meet both business requirements and technical specifications. They work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of systems, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and continuously optimize the IT infrastructure, including systems and networks, for optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, implement, and maintain Information Technology systems, applications, and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Information Technology systems, networks, and software to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and optimization to enhance the performance and scalability of Information Technology systems.
- Test and evaluate Information Technology solutions, perform quality assurance checks, and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Provide technical support, assistance, and training to end‑users, Information Technology teams, and stakeholders as needed.
- Stay current on Information Technology trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Document system configurations, technical specifications, and implementation procedures for Information Technology solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architects, developers, and project managers, to deliver integrated Information Technology solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements, specifications, and project scope for Information Technology solutions.
- Associate degree in a related discipline or equivalent, related experience.
- Four or more years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent, related experience.
- Experience with IT asset management lifecycle and IT helpdesk products (e.g. SnipeIT, Jira Service Management, Device
42, Asset Panda). - Experience with customer service and troubleshooting complex multi‑disciplinary situations.
- Familiarity with a variety of products from different IT hardware vendors (e.g. Cisco, HPE, VMware, Net App).
- Familiarity with components that compromise an IT datacenter.
- Experience with being on‑call in a data center environment.
This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position will not travel. This position requires a security clearance. Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.
Salary range: $54,194 - $79,096. Atlanta, GA. Job Grade: T03.
