Linux Systems Administrator
Atlanta, GA
Pay From $125,000
Mandatory Qualifications- Linux Administrator
- Public Trust mandatory
- Current Red Hat certification (RHCSA, RHCE, or RHCA) mandatory
- 10+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems and interoperability with Windows.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with Ansible, RHEL Satellite, and other automation tools.
- Experience configuring and managing NFTables, Firewalld, IPTables, ISC2 BIND DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Postfix/SMTP Relay.
- Familiarity with Mirantis Container Runtime, AWS, and Git Lab.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent education and experience).
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) Server environments.
- Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python.
- Perform administration and O&M tasks from the command line.
- Manage task automation using tools like Ansible and RHEL Satellite.
- Handle package management across geographically dispersed environments.
- Configure and manage NFTables, Firewalld, IPTables, ISC2 BIND DNS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Postfix/SMTP Relay.
- Administer Linux Server Clustering, NFS v3/v4, PXE boot, and SELinux.
- Support Mirantis Container Runtime (formerly Docker), AWS, and Git Lab.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, processes, and service records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects.
- Lead and mentor junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity and performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with security hardening standards (CIS, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DISA STIGs).
- Participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
