Team Execution Lead
The team execution lead is responsible for driving delivery execution across zelis enterprise solutions teams supporting custom enterprise platforms, business applications, workflow tools, integrations, and internal associate/client-facing capabilities. This role is a modern evolution of the scrum master role, with a stronger emphasis on delivery accountability, continuous planning, dependency management, stakeholder alignment, and execution against committed timelines. The team execution lead helps enterprise solutions teams remain focused, organized, and predictable while enabling incremental delivery of high-value business outcomes.
This role supports teams working across internally developed enterprise platforms such as api marketplace, identity management platforms, , custom portal applications, and other software products. The ideal candidate has strong agile and/or hybrid delivery experience, practical knowledge of enterprise software application delivery, and the ability to partner effectively with product management, engineering, architecture, and business/operating unit stakeholders.
- Lead delivery execution for enterprise solutions teams supporting enterprise platforms, identity management systems, integrations, portals, and business application capabilities.
- Support continuous planning and delivery by helping teams manage intake, refine priorities, sequence work, and adjust plans as business needs evolve.
- Partner with product managers, engineering leads, application owners, architects, and stakeholders to translate roadmap priorities into actionable delivery plans.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and delivery routines, including planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, dependency reviews, retrospectives, stakeholder updates, and delivery readiness discussions.
- Maintain clear visibility into deliverables, milestones, risks, blockers, dependencies, capacity constraints, and decisions needed.
- Drive accountability for committed work by ensuring owners, timelines, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and next steps are clearly understood.
- Coordinate dependencies across enterprise solutions, product, engineering, infrastructure, security, architecture, governance, data, ai/automation, and business/operating unit teams.
- Help teams break down complex enterprise solutions work into manageable increments that can be delivered, validated, and measured.
- Support delivery of enterprise solutions initiatives, including new product implementations, product enhancements, workflow automation, website updates, migrations, identity/access updates, reporting enablement, operational improvements, and ai-enabled application capabilities.
- Identify and escalate risks related to scope, capacity, technical dependencies, application readiness, integration complexity, security, governance, user adoption, and timeline impacts.
- Partner with technical leaders to ensure delivery plans account for architecture alignment, configuration/design decisions, testing, production readiness, deployment planning, supportability, and operational handoff.
- Help teams balance business urgency with sustainable delivery practices, platform standards, and long-term maintainability.
- Use delivery metrics such as throughput, cycle time, aging work, blocker trends, predictability, dependency health, and delivery confidence to improve execution.
- Provide transparent communication to stakeholders regarding delivery status, risks, trade-offs, key decisions, and timeline impacts.
- Promote team effectiveness by removing impediments, improving delivery flow, reducing unnecessary process overhead, and helping teams stay focused on the highest-value outcomes.
- Encourage responsible use of ai-enabled delivery practices, including meeting summaries, backlog analysis, risk identification, documentation support, delivery insights, and operational workflow improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a scrum master, delivery/execution lead, project manager, program coordinator, or related technology delivery role.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications, software engineering, saas applications, workflow systems, integrations, or internal business technology teams strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of enterprise application concepts such as system configuration, workflow design, platform releases, integrations, apis, identity/access management, reporting, testing, and production readiness.
- Experience managing deliverables to timelines in a complex, cross-functional technology environment.
- Experience with agile, scrum, kanban, hybrid delivery, traditional/waterfall, and/or continuous planning and delivery models.
- Strong understanding of backlog management, dependency management, risk management, delivery planning, capacity management and planning, stakeholder communication, and release coordination.
