Introduction
We are seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to support day-to-day operations in a large-scale server environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Power Edge servers, iDRAC, Linux, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities- Support daily data center activities and proactively monitor the environment.
- Perform routine data center walks and identify/alert on any issues.
- Escort field engineers and coordinate onsite service activities.
- Manage parts through LOIS system; training will be provided.
- Maintain accurate documentation including serial numbers, rack elevations, and runbooks.
- Coordinate customer maintenance activities involving power, cooling, and containment systems.
- Perform BIOS lifecycle management, user administration, and server patching.
- Triage issues with support teams and coordinate break/fix activities.
- Work with the customer team to update server versions and configurations as required.
- Hands-on experience with Power Edge Rack/Tower servers
- Strong iDRAC experience
- Experience with RHEL and Ubuntu Linux
- Experience working in a large-scale data center/server environment
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience with BIOS
