Principal Trainer- EPIC, Optime​/Anesthesia

The Principal Trainer is the content expert responsible for mastering Epic applications and Piedmont-specific workflows. They develop and lead training programs, including materials and methods such as classroom, web-based learning, remote instruction, and coaching. They ensure training meets initial and ongoing needs, support usability programs, and participate in go-live events. They also build, test, and maintain training environments, participate in workflow design, and establish relationships with stakeholders.

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs and materials for Epic applications.
• Coordinate with other trainers and stakeholders to ensure training effectiveness.
• Participate in workflow design and system build to gain in-depth system knowledge.
• Support the training environment setup and maintenance.
• Provide on-site and remote user support during go-lives and beyond.
• Ensure training content quality and stay current with best practices.
• Manage training policies, scheduling, and certification processes.
• Oversee training facility management and technical infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Piedmont staff, physicians, and users.

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field, or 4 years relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in software training, support, or project management, or 7 years if no degree.
• Epic certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to travel overnight for training and support.
