The Mule Soft Integration Architect / SME serves as the technical leader and subject matter expert for enterprise integration initiatives.
This role is responsible for architecting, designing, and guiding complex integration solutions—primarily between Salesforce and SAP—while establishing standards and best practices across the organization.
The position requires deep hands‑on Mule Soft expertise, strong experience in cloud integration patterns, and the ability to provide both strategic and technical leadership.
The architect plays a key role in defining integration architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and security across enterprise systems and supports a growing Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE).
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the Mule Soft subject matter expert, guiding enterprise integration strategy and optimizing platform performance.
- Architect and lead the design of scalable and secure integration solutions using Mule Soft and API‑led connectivity.
- Provide hands‑on development support and mentor integration developers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Lead integrations between Salesforce and SAP across complex enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, Salesforce COE leadership, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to align solutions with business objectives.
- Design and support integrations using Cloud Hub 2.0 to ensure reliability and performance.
- Work with AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, Kafka, and S3 to support cloud‑native and event‑driven integration patterns.
- Ensure integrations comply with enterprise standards for scalability, security, monitoring, and governance.
- Participate in solution design reviews, technical discussions, and architecture governance forums.
- Contribute to infrastructure and environment planning, including network and firewall considerations when needed.
- Work onsite three days per week at the designated location.
- 5+ years of hands‑on Mule Soft development experience, including expertise in API‑led connectivity, Data Weave, RAML, Mule Soft connectors, and error handling.
- 8+ years of enterprise integration experience in architecture, design, and implementation.
- Proven experience integrating Salesforce and SAP in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Cloud Hub 2.0.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services including DynamoDB, Lambda, Kafka, and S3.
- Deep understanding of integration patterns, performance tuning, resiliency, and observability.
- Ability to lead technical design sessions, conduct code reviews, and provide architectural guidance.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting integrations in industries such as energy, utilities, gas, or power.
- Knowledge of firewall, network infrastructure, or security architecture related to integration platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops methodologies, and automated deployment strategies.
- Experience working in hybrid or multi‑cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Mule Soft Integration Architect Certification.
