Summary:
The NAOU Marketing Data team is responsible for building the data foundation, engineering capabilities, and analytics solutions that enable better marketing decisions across North America. The team connects data, technology, and insights to create scalable capabilities that support consumer understanding, marketing effectiveness, measurement, personalization, and AI-driven decision-making. Working across Marketing, Integrated Marketing Experience(IMX), Human Sciences, Advanced Analytics, Mar Tech, Digital Technology, and enterprise data teams, the organization helps transform data into a strategic asset that drives growth, innovation, and business impact.
Role Overview The Sr Director, Marketing Data Architecture will define and lead the marketing data architecture strategy and roadmap for North America. This role establishes the data foundation that enables connected consumer understanding, marketing measurement, personalization, AI-enabled decision-making, and scalable business impact. This leader will serve as the strategic architect across 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party marketing data assets.
The role will create unified data models, architecture standards, governance practices, and enterprise integration approaches that make marketing data trusted, connected, accessible, and ready for activation across the marketing ecosystem.
Lead Marketing Data Strategy & Architecture:
Define and drive the North America Marketing Data Architecture vision, roadmap, standards, and operating model. Establish a scalable foundation that enables marketing, analytics, AI, and business decision-making across North America.
Build a Connected Marketing Data Ecosystem:
Design unified data models that connect 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party data across consumer, media, commerce, CRM, loyalty, and customer touchpoints. Ensure integration across Microsoft Fabric and One Lake on Azure, Adobe Experience Platform, Unified Data Platform, enterprise data products, and Mar Tech solutions.
Enable Measurement, Insights, and Activation:
Create the data foundation that powers marketing effectiveness measurement, audience activation, personalization, attribution, experimentation, predictive analytics, and AI-driven decision support.
Establish Governance, Quality, and Trust:
Lead data governance, taxonomy, metadata, privacy, and data quality standards that ensure marketing data is trusted, compliant, secure, and reusable across the organization.
Drive Enterprise Partnership and Influence:
Partner with Marketing, IMX, Human Sciences, Advanced Analytics, Digital Technology, Commercial, and enterprise data teams to align priorities, accelerate delivery, and unlock greater value from shared data assets.
Build Future-Ready Data Capabilities:
Enable the next generation of marketing intelligence by supporting AI, automation, recommendations, agentic workflows, and real-time decisioning. Build and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, data stewardship, and continuous learning.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of leadership experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, data platforms, or related disciplines.
Deep expertise in modern data architecture, data modeling, cloud platforms, data integration, governance, and enterprise-scale data ecosystems.
Experience working with consumer, media, customer, commerce, and marketing data, including 1st party, 2nd party, and 3rd party data.
Experience architecting solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric, including One Lake, Lakehouse and Warehouse, Fabric Data Factory pipelines, Apache Spark, Delta and Parquet, Power BI semantic models, and integration with Adobe Experience Platform and Mar Tech ecosystems.
Experience establishing enterprise governance, security, lineage, and Data Ops using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra , role-based access controls, Git Hub or Azure Dev Ops, APIs, and batch, streaming, or event-driven integration patterns.
Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.

Pay RangePay Range:
United States of America: 193,000 USD - 224,000 USD Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
