We need an experience d data health scientist like you to help our clients find answers in their data toimpactimportant missions, from supporting clinical decision-making to accelerating public health modernization.

As a Health Data Scientist at Booz Allen,you’llhelp build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’lldeploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here,you’llwork with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, clinical SMEs, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with
  
  PySpark, SQL, and Azure Databricks
• Experience supporting collaborative, cross-functional technical teams
• Experience with data science and data analytics, including structured, unstructured, or relational
• Experience with data quality testing
• Knowledge of public health, healthcare, or health data
• Ability to verbally communicate complex analytic concepts to clinical and public health stakeholders and execute written communication through the development of standard operation procedures ( SOPs ) , analytic reports, or manuscripts submitted for publication
• Ability to implement data science solutions and collaborate with developers to create new analytics
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various typesof data into usable formats, and support the team in scaling, monitoring, and operating data platform sand conducting data quality testing
• Ability to obtain andmaintaina Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with FHIR-based data and large-scale data processing
• Experience with R, Scala, or Java
• Experience retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
• Experience building scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Experience with distributed data or computing tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, and Kafka
• Experience working with real-time or streaming data systems
• Experience with data warehousing, including Redshift, MySQL, and Snowflake
• Experience with Agile met hodologies
• Knowledge of EHR or Health IT systems
