Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Informatics Specialist to optimize clinical and operational systems across our network. In this role, you will translate clinical workflows into effective health IT solutions, support EHR configuration, build reports and dashboards, and improve data quality and interoperability. You will collaborate with clinicians, IT, and leadership to analyze requirements, implement enhancements, and provide user training. The ideal candidate brings healthcare informatics experience, strong analytical and SQL skills, and a passion for using data and technology to advance patient-centered care and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Translate clinical workflows into effective informatics and health IT solutions
- Configure, optimize, and support EHR and ancillary clinical applications
- Develop and maintain clinical and operational reports and dashboards
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and interoperability across systems
- Collaborate with clinicians, IT, and leadership to gather and analyze requirements
- Implement system enhancements, upgrades, and best-practice configuration
- Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing application support
- Use data analysis to identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes and efficiency
- Support clinical decision support tools and evidence-based content
- Participate in projects, testing, and change management activities
