Machine Learning Lead Engineer

Cox Automotive is seeking a Machine Learning Lead Engineer to design, build, and scale ML solutions that power next-generation digital experiences for the automotive and media ecosystem. You'll lead a small team of ML engineers and data scientists to deliver models for recommendations, pricing, personalization, and forecasting across brands like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. Responsibilities include owning ML architecture, partnering with product and engineering, establishing MLOps best practices, and mentoring engineers, while contributing to an inclusive, people-first culture and cross-functional innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable machine learning solutions for recommendations, pricing, personalization, and forecasting.
• Lead and mentor a team of ML engineers and data scientists, driving technical excellence and career development.
• Own end-to-end ML architecture, from data ingestion and feature engineering to deployment and monitoring.
• Establish and maintain MLOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for ML workflows.
• Collaborate with product, data, and software engineering teams to align ML initiatives with business goals.
• Monitor model performance in production and continuously improve accuracy, robustness, and reliability.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and data governance standards.
• Communicate technical strategies, roadmaps, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
