Senior Data Scientist

• Support HBO Max Marketing in understanding and optimizing media investment impact on subscriber growth, engagement, revenue, and long-term value across markets
• Lead development, maintenance, and refinement of Media Mix Models, attribution and incrementality approaches, and optimization solutions
• Perform analysis and modeling to measure marketing campaigns and make recommendations
• Analyze media spend, investment, return, and performance
• Lead development of data frameworks and analytical approaches
• Develop and refine market mix and attribution models using advanced statistical models
• Build optimization algorithms to optimize media spend and maximize subscriber growth and revenue
• Synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into clear visual and verbal storylines for executive audiences
• Present media effectiveness and performance drivers to business partners and senior executives and craft action plans
• Collaborate with Marketing, Media Strategy, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, and other cross-functional partners
• Own complex analytical projects end-to-end
• Evaluate emerging statistical, machine learning, and AI approaches to improve team workflows and decision-making

• BA/BS in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, industrial engineering, or another quantitative discipline is required
• 4+ years of experience building data science/statistical models, including multivariate regression, Markov Chain Model, and Time Series Model
• 1+ years of experience in Media Mix Modeling and Multi Touch Attribution Modeling
• Expertise in linear and non-linear optimization (Local/Global) approaches
• Expertise in SQL and R and/or Python
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing, analytics, model development, and production workflows
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code, including coding agents and large language models
• Strong understanding of generative AI and agentic AI capabilities
• Experience customizing optimization algorithms
• Experience designing and evaluating experimental/incrementality tests
• Knowledge of media and advertising, including display, digital, and paid search
• Strong curiosity, leadership, and business acumen
• Passion for using data to drive strategy and product recommendations
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate, collaborate, and influence
• Ability to deliver on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience in subscription-based businesses or eCommerce preferred
• Experience building RShiny applications, and experience with ADH (Ads Data Hub) and Big Query, are a plus

Demonstrates expertise in Media Mix Modeling, Multi Touch Attribution Modeling, and advanced statistical analysis to optimize media investment and drive subscriber growth. Proficient in SQL, R, and Python, with a strong understanding of AI-assisted development tools and optimization algorithms.
