Systems Administrator, IT Project Manager

About the OpportunityA growing financial services organization is seeking a hands‑on Director of Information Technology to oversee day‑to‑day IT operations supporting approximately 250 employees across a Microsoft-centric environment.
Reporting directly to the CIO, this role will lead a small IT team, manage critical business systems, oversee cybersecurity initiatives, support end users, and ensure the stability of the organization's technology infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Systems Administrator Lead, or IT Operations Manager looking to step into a Director-level position with increased responsibility and visibility.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Lead IT operations and support services across the organization.
- Manage and mentor a team of two IT professionals, with planned team growth in the near future.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Entra (Azure AD), Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and related technologies.
- Oversee user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, and access management.
- Drive endpoint security, identity management, MFA, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Manage hardware deployment, workstation configuration, and software administration.
- Support and improve help desk operations, ticket management, and service delivery.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure technology remains secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Assist with business continuity, disaster recovery, compliance, and audit initiatives.
- Support proprietary business applications and evolving technology initiatives, including automation and AI-related tools.

- Experience managing IT operations, infrastructure, or systems administration functions.
- Experience with Entra (Azure AD), account management, and identity security.
- Background in cybersecurity, endpoint management, and user support.
- Experience leading or mentoring IT teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience with in mortgage, banking, lending, or other regulated financial services environments.
- Familiarity with mortgage technology platforms, including Meridian Link or similar LOS systems.
- Experience with Power Automate and Power BI.
- Knowledge of compliance and security requirements within financial services.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, Microsoft, or Azure certifications.
