The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. Network Engineers are responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing the institution's network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and high performance for all users. This role involves diagnosing and resolving network issues, implementing scalable and resilient network solutions, and collaborating with other IT teams to enhance the overall network environment. Network Engineers play a critical role in supporting the institution's technological needs and ensuring seamless access to digital resources.

• Job Duty 1 - Monitor the performance and reliability of the institution's network infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal connectivity for users.
• Job Duty 2 - Configure and install network equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure efficient data transmission and secure access to resources.
• Job Duty 3 - Conduct regular network assessments and audits to evaluate security measures and identify vulnerabilities that may impact the institution's data integrity.
• Job Duty 4 - Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to create a knowledge base that supports effective issue resolution and team collaboration.
• Job Duty 5 - Provide technical support and guidance to faculty, staff, and students regarding network-related issues, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
