- Coordinate, plan, support, and execute enterprise-wide IT projects
- Support project plan development and monitor budgets and scope
- Manage the Project Management Life Cycle from beginning to end
- Communicate frequently with stakeholders and project teams
- Apply industry-accepted methodologies, including Project Management Institute (PMI) methodologies
- Support PMO subject matter experts in developing solutions and creating efficiencies
- Validate business cases and establish project charters
- Create project charters, analyze business cases, justify project resources, and anticipate risks
- Consult with project sponsors regarding directives, scopes, deliverables, timelines, and risks
- Conduct bid sessions and vendor RFP efforts to select and manage suppliers and supplier payments
- Represent UTS's interests with enterprise-wide senior management and validate customer requirements
- Apply project management tools and methodologies to achieve milestones and maintain scope
- Observe project team dynamics and resolve issues
- Create progressive project milestones
- Manage project timelines, resource commitments, activities, and variances
- Assess risks and develop response strategies
- Verify completion dates and manage resource schedules with project customers
- Close project contracts, validate supplier statements of work, and verify deliverables
- Conduct project management research and trend studies under the PMO Director's direction
- Perform related responsibilities as required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of Project Management experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Obtain Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification within one year
- Must reside in the state of Georgia
- Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
Demonstrates expertise in managing the Project Management Life Cycle, applying PMI methodologies, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. Proficient in project planning, budget monitoring, risk assessment, and resource management to ensure successful project execution.
