PositionSummary
The IT Asset Manager (ITAM) is responsible for managing Unifi’s technology assets across the full lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, assignment, support, recovery, auditing, reporting, and disposal. This role will support asset operations across hardware, software, accessories, mobile devices, SaaS subscriptions, and user lifecycle workflows, with a strong focus on Oomnitza as the central IT asset management and workflow orchestration platform. The position will help maintain accurate asset, ownership, status, location, license, and compliance data across enterprise systems while supporting cost control, audit readiness, process automation, and operational consistency.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, peripherals, accessories, software, SaaS subscriptions, and non-serialized consumables.
- Maintain and support Oomnitza as a key system of record and workflow platform for asset lifecycle activities, including hardware asset management, software asset management, onboarding, offboarding, assignment, return, reclamation, and disposal.
- Coordinate asset procurement, receipt, deployment, transfers, upgrades, refreshes, warranty activities, returns, and retirement.
- Ensure assets are properly recorded, tagged, assigned, tracked, and reconciled within the IT Asset Management system and related enterprise platforms.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, asset ownership, lifecycle status, location, cost center, and assignment data.
- Reconcile asset and user data across Oomnitza, Service Now CMDB/ITSM, Microsoft Intune, Entra /Azure AD, Microsoft 365, UKG Pro/Kronos, procurement records, and vendor data sources.
- Conduct recurring audits and data quality checks to identify orphaned assets, missing assignments, overdue returns, status mismatches, duplicate records, and inventory discrepancies.
- Track software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, renewals, allocations, reclamation opportunities, and maintenance agreements.
- Support software asset management processes for platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Adobe, Docu Sign, Smartsheet, Out Systems, Net Suite, UKG Pro/Kronos, and other enterprise applications as applicable.
- Support software audits and maintain documentation for compliance, renewal planning, cost optimization, and license utilization reporting.
- Assist with license provisioning and deprovisioning workflows tied to onboarding, offboarding, department changes, approvals, and access reviews.
- Partner with procurement, finance, IT support, security, HR, and business stakeholders to support technology acquisitions and asset lifecycle alignment.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners such as CDW, SHI, Insight, wireless providers, service providers, software vendors, and implementation teams regarding asset purchases, integrations, returns, repairs, renewals, and support tickets.
- Maintain records of warranties, support contracts, service agreements, purchase history, and renewal information.
- Assist with vendor performance tracking, contract management, invoice validation, and cost attribution.
- Coordinate secure asset disposal, recovery, data destruction, legal hold, reuse, and retirement processes.
