Data Science Intern – Overview The Data Science team at NCR Atleos, established in 2019, is building a world-class analytics organization to drive innovation and operational excellence. As a Data Science Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced data scientists, analysts, and business leaders to solve real-world challenges using data-driven insights.

This internship offers exposure to advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence, with opportunities to contribute to impactful projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teams across Sales, Operations, Product, and Finance to understand business needs and support data-driven solutions.

Assist in building and testing statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.

Support data preparation, cleaning, and integration from structured and unstructured sources.

Help develop dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI or Python-based libraries.

Participate in projects such as cash forecasting, causal analysis, and geospatial data visualization.

Contribute to the automation of data workflows and reporting processes.

Document findings, methodologies, and project outcomes for internal use.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

Familiarity with Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.

Understanding of statistical techniques such as regression, clustering, and time series analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Interest in learning about cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and data visualization.
