We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team to support our migration from on-prem to Azure.
Responsibilities:- Administer and maintain databases Azure SQL.
- Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize database configurations for reliability and cost
- Manage backups, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery processes
- Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance standards
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams on schema design, capacity planning, and troubleshooting
- Automate routine tasks through scripting such as Power Shell, Python, Terraform
- Maintain documentation and participate in on call rotation
- 5-7+ years of database administration experience
- Hands on experience with cloud database services in Azure
- Strong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with backup, recovery, and high availability strategies
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation a plus
- Cloud certification (Azure) a plus
