Legal Assistant

Description

Robert Half is seeking an immigration legal assistant that will support a boutique firm in Sandy Springs This role focuses on providing support in family immigration matters and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file documents with immigration courts and related agencies.

- Review and amend asylum applications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Compile and organize supplemental documentation for immigration cases.

- Maintain and update case files using Clio software.

- Communicate effectively with clients, including those who speak French, to gather necessary information and provide updates.

- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and other legal proceedings.

- Ensure deadlines are met and documentation is submitted promptly.

- Conduct research on immigration laws and procedures.

Requirements - Proven experience in immigration law, particularly family immigration and asylum cases.

- Proficiency in document management and legal filing procedures.

- Familiarity with Clio software or similar legal case management tools.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with French-speaking clients.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Knowledge of immigration court procedures and regulations.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
