LHH is partnering with a prestigious law firm to hire an entry-level Litigation Legal Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate who is eager to build a career in the legal field and plans to attend law school within the next 2–3 years.
About the RoleThe Litigation Legal Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced litigation practice. This role offers hands‑on exposure to legal procedures, court filings, and attorney workflows while developing critical skills for a future legal career.
Responsibilities- Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain calendars, files, contact lists, and litigation records
- Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, travel, and expense reports
- Assist with time entry, billing reviews, conflict checks, and file openings
- Handle phone calls, mail, filing, copying, and document management
- Support attorneys and staff with administrative tasks and special projects
- Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely delivery of all materials
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (strong academic performance encouraged)
- Prior law firm internship or administrative experience strongly preferred
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in the legal field
- Typing speed of 70+ wpm with strong proofreading and grammar skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (iManage experience a plus)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
